Almost 30 years of Jiu-Jitsu đŹ and when I look back, some of the greatest things BJJ has given me have nothing to do with belts or medals.
Itâs the friendships. â€ïž Friendships that have lasted more than 20 years, across different countries, different chapters of life, and thousands of miles. The kind of connection thatâs hard to explain unless youâve shared the mats with someone.
BJJ has given me friends and family all over the world. đ No matter how much time passes, when we meet again, it feels like we pick up right where we left off.
And now, after almost 30 years, one of the most special parts is getting to share this life with my kids. Watching them step onto the mats, meet the people who were part of my journey, and create friendships and memories of their own makes everything come full circle.
Almost 30 years later, Iâm still realizing that Jiu-Jitsu was never just about Jiu-Jitsu. Itâs about the people we meet along the way. đ„â€ïž
