Had a good time at the Minnesota Farrier contest ended up placing 3rd and 4th in two of my classes. Finished 6th overall. Was lots of fun and looking forward to the next one.

Had a good time at the minnesota horse shoeing competition this weekend. Picked up a win in my first class. A great learning experience from some great farriers.

With the MN Executive Order¹ beginning March 27th, 2020 11:59pm, we wanted to address Farrier work. On the Dept of Homeland Security website², a list of the definitions and explanations of essential jobs can be found. Under the Food and Agriculture list, the 5th bullet point down relates to farriers. In that bullet point, we are a farm "support service worker". Farrier's are classified as such by the NAICS #115210, Supportive Activities for Animal Production³

With the above information, we feel Farrier's are allowed to work at this time.

We are recommending that all Farrier's and clients take the appropriate precautions outlined by the CDC. During this unprecedented time, we need to do what we can to help keep everybody safe. We hope that everyone stays safe and healthy, and we are here for your horses!!
