Blessing Fitness

Blessing Fitness Certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach, & Golf Fitness Specialist I have always been fascinated by health and wellness.

I played hockey and golf as a kid, got into distance running in college, and did crossfit when my husband and I were first married. Fitness became even more important to me when my daughter was born. I wanted to set a healthy example for her but that required me to change my own perspective from exercising because I wasn't happy with certain parts of my body to working out to be strong, not just physically but mentally as well. Our kids are always paying attention and watching what we do. In addition to being a Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach, I also coach high school girls golf, specialize in Golf Fitness, and design strength and conditioning plans for student athletes. The foundation of my training focuses on mobility and stability to help prevent injuries and improve range of motion, while incorporating strength training that mimics movements we do in our daily lives. Nutrition Coaching works to establish a healthy balance between working towards your goals and having flexibility to enjoy foods you love.

The best is yet to come ā¤ļø

In March 2025 I stepped away from training because I could feel my health declining with no real answers.

By November 2025 I was in the ER covered in hives and my throat closing. The doctor had no concrete diagnosis, possibly triggered by mold, and no real treatment plan.

I honestly thought my training days were over. Who would trust me with their health when I was so inflamed and couldn’t get to the bottom of what was going on in my own body.

But I was determined. With support from Dr. Morgan Woods DC & Dr Sonja Murray | Wild Integrative Health behind me and a whole lot of information from Leanne Vogel, I kept digging to find answers and connect the dots. {I’ll be sharing more of my healing journey in the future}

In March of 2026 I said yes to something that I never thought I would be able to get back to. My first couple weeks at Core Collective have been the healing that I didn’t know I needed. Thankful to Ariel and Maddi for allowing me to be apart of their dream. Grateful to everyone who has come to a class in July and shared their own health story with me. Blessed to be able to move my body and get STRONG with some amazing people every time I step into the studio.

There’s one thing in life that’s true…never say never!

But when the vision and mission of Core Collective was presented to me, I just knew I wanted the be a part of bringing this to our community. So beginning in July {launch week coming soon} I’ll be back in the studio teaching group fitness again 😊 Plus a private space to train clients who want to jump back in to in-person personal training šŸ’ŖšŸ½

Stay tuned, the best is yet to come šŸŽ‰

The problem with trauma is that it has a way of retraumatizing us in the most unsuspecting ways. From our mind to our muscles, we hold onto these memories and they begin to affect even our most basic bodily functions. So here’s the long story short…2024 brought me to hell and back until I woke up one day and decided that I am no longer volunteering myself to be the victim. Done. I am excited to jump in to 2025 to help more people find freedom through movement and wellness.

I think first we need to redefine is the word discipline. Often discipline gets confused with the word consequence, most likely coming from our childhood where our parents would discipline us for doing something wrong. We need to separate being disciplined from having discipline. Discipline is creating the habits to make the right choice. Once we can view discipline through a positive, life-giving lens, we can experience freedom from our bad habits.

Speaking of feeling alive…I’m back! I’m slowly working through my wait list for new clients. During golf season I typically back off from personal training because of all the hours I spend coaching. At the beginning of the season an opportunity presented itself for me to do some deep processing work that not only benefited my mental health but will allow me to better serve my clients, especially those that are also working through trauma. I continue to add people to my waitlist and will reach out as spots become available.

Take some time today to connect with what makes you feel alive. Maybe it’s discovering that there’s something in your life that causes you to feel dead inside. I encourage you to find three things that give you life this weekend. Write them down and hold yourself accountable to making them a priority.

Here’s my list for the weekend:
1. Movement first thing in the morning.
2. Spending time with family that is here visiting.
3. Cooking a Mediterranean feast for Father’s Day using some of my favorite recipes and trying a few new ones.

It’s easy to become obsessed over ingredients & organic. Here’s my three rules for minimizing unwanted chemicals & ingredients in our food.

#1 BUY LOCAL MEAT & DAIRY
We budget to buy in bulk from trusted friends in our area. Highly recommend checking out Maple Wood Farms Kelm's Krazy Acres Larry Schultz Organic Farm & Danielle Haugen
#2 ELIMINATE FOOD DYE
Just by looking for this one thing on the label will eliminate most other crap you don’t want.
#3 SHOP CLEAN FIFTEEN & DIRTY DOZEN
I only buy organic produce from the Dirty Dozen list and save money on the Clean Fifteen.

I realize there are so many other things to look out for in our foods but instead of focusing on all the things we can’t have, let’s fill our homes with REAL food. Podcast coming on this soon, just finishing up some research 🧐
