Pirate Fastpitch Softball

Pirate Fastpitch Softball Hankinson High School adopted fastpitch softball in the spring of 2010. In 2012 it coop'd with Fairmount. In 2014 it added Lidgerwood & Campbell/T

Hankinson High School started spring high school softball in 2010. Starting with 16 players who had never played fastpitch before. In 2012 Fairmount was added to the coop to form Pirate Fastpitch. This was also the year that NDHSAA split the divisions into Class A & B. In 2014 the coop expanded again to add the schools of Lidgerwood, Campbell & Tintah.

🥎 Region Softball Tournament action comes to Hankinson on Thursday!

Pirate Fastpitch Softball will host Lisbon in a Region Tournament play-in game at 5:00 PM. Since this is a postseason contest, admission will be charged at the gate:

Adults: $7
Students: $4

Come out and support the girls as they battle to keep their season alive!

With the Pirates hosting Lisbon on Thursday @ 5 for our play-in game, we are in need of a couple of ticket takers starting at about 4:00. This is a Region game and admission will be charged. Please let me or Sarah know if you're available.
We could also use an announcer for the PA too. Nothing too difficult. It's always nice to have announcing! You will be paid

Is your hitter afraid to strike out… or ready to compete?
2 strikes changes everything.
Not mechanically… mentally.
Most players step in the box thinking:
“Don’t miss.”
“Don’t strike out.”
That’s where they lose the at-bat.
Because the best hitters in the world fail 7 out of 10 times.
So the goal isn’t to avoid failure.
The goal is to compete.
With 2 strikes:
• Fight for one more pitch
• Foul balls off
• Stay alive
• Make the pitcher work
That 7-pitch at-bat that ends in a walk?
That’s a win.
That battle that leads to a mistake pitch?
That’s how innings change.
And coaches—this starts with you.
Your tone.
Your body language.
Your reaction to a strikeout.
If you treat it like failure… they will too.
If you treat it like part of the process… they’ll learn to battle.
2 strikes isn’t the end of the at-bat.
It’s where it begins.
