Cod season opened up on September 1st and seems to be in full swing!! Our inshore ledges are absolutely littered with them currently. You may have to w**d through some small ones, but there are some very nice ones to be had! Hogy Sand Eel jigs, large diamond jigs and cod teasers have been the ticket. A classic hi-lo rig tipped with either clams or squid is also a great option. Limit is one per day over 23 inches. We have a great stretch of weather coming, no better time to get out on the water!! You may also find tuna or stripers in the same area!

We are hosting another trip to South Caicos, February 6-10th 2027! Our first trip in May was a great success, we landed a bunch of quality bonefish up to ~8 pounds. This is a world class fishery and will be the bone fishing trip of a lifetime… Comprised of hard white sand flats, the Caicos bank is a hidden gem. This is predominantly a walk-wade fishery, and we will be accessing these flats mainly via airboats. We currently have 4 spots remaining for this set of dates. What a week it’s been!! We have had customers rolling through talking about how insane the bite is right now! Here’s some pictures to back it up!! We’re seeing bass in the 40-50” range smashing on pogies, mackerel and herring. The feed is on, day and night! Beginning of the fall run, get out there and get on em!! New crew of saltwater fisherman are hooked on stripers!! Got these guys out on the water this past weekend and we had one heck of a day! The striper fishing has been very productive the last couple weeks. As things ramp up towards the fall run, it should only get better!!! Swing into the shop and get geared up!

Some pictures from yet another epic day on the water. We got into a crazy bass blitz on herring, mackerel and pogies that lasted for 5+ hours and we left them chewing! Acres of 40+ inch bass blowing up on bait. There is tons of bait around so the fish can be picky, however if you find them in the feeding mood, hang on! The usual summer haunts - ledges and beaches - have been producing decent numbers and quality size for anglers! Get out there and get em!

We are absolutely speachless. One of the best fishing experiences we have ever had, with the best crew in the world. We’ve been told and thought personally that it couldn’t be done. But it most certainly can be done. Landed a 91” Bluefin Tuna estimated at ~500lbs on spinning gear with a popper. 65lb test braid and 100lb fluorocarbon leader. We went looking for tuna and didn’t find exactly that, but we’ll always take big bass!! Epic day on the water! So much life out there right now! Covered a lot of area and were just out of the tuna range based on reports from some customers! We’re finding loads of bass in the 40-46” range on pogie schools. Tuna are likely to show as well!!! Get out there, it’s going to be a beautiful weekend!

We were out looking for tuna last night when we got the call from Ian that he was hooked up!! Came on scene and jumped aboard. We had a long battle into the dark that ended with a tail wrap and break off, right at the boat. Devastating ending. We are getting very good reports of tuna still in the Casco Bay Area. These fish are smashing pogies - Ian hooked up on a surface plug, but soft plastics like NLBN’s, sliders and poppers have all been getting bites. We talked to numerous customers today who all hooked up on fish!!! Come get rigged then go get em!!
