One week ago, we were counting down the minutes until race day. Today, on our first post-race Finish Line Friday, we’re still riding the high. ✨🏁✨

To every runner who ran the 7 miles from Woods Hole to Falmouth Heights, every spectator who cheered or made us laugh with their signs held high (👀 we’re lookin’ at you, “Keep Chafing Your Dreams”), every volunteer who made this day possible, every medical professional who kept our runners safe, and every member of our Falmouth community who welcomed us with open arms: THANK YOU.

The finish line may be behind us, but the memories will last all year long. ❤️💙

Some traditions are measured in miles. Others are measured in generations. For Ron Pokraka, the Falmouth Road Race has been both. ❤️💙

As one of the legendary “Falmouth Five,” Ron ran the race an incredible 48 consecutive times before hanging up his racing shoes. Now, at 88, he’s watching a new generation of Pokrakas carry the torch—including his granddaughter Abby, who says race weekend has always felt like a family reunion.

From Tommy Leonard’s original vision to today’s world-class event, Ron has been part of the FRR story from the very beginning.

Congratulations to Brian Salzberg, the one and only person who has completed ALL 54 RUNNINGS of the Falmouth Road Race! 👏👏👏

From the first race in 1973—with just 92 finishers—to today, Brian’s remarkable streak, determination, and love for Falmouth have made him a true icon of the FRR. Through heat, rain, injuries, and more than five decades of running, he has never 👏 stopped 👏 showing 👏 up.

Brian, thank you for 54 unforgettable Falmouths. You truly are the one and only. 💙❤️

Near-perfect conditions set the stage for a historic morning at the 54th annual ASICS Falmouth Road Race on Aug. 16. Course records and American course records fell in both the men’s and women’s open divisions, with Falmouth debutants claiming victories and déjà vu in the wheelchair races.

One of the most dominant NCAA runners in recent memory, Habtom Samuel claimed five individual NCAA championships during his time at the University of New Mexico. Now turning his sights to professional road racing, the 23-year-old Eritrean has already garnered victories at the Houston Half Marathon and the Beach to Beacon Road Race. His 10,000m personal best of 26:51 cemented him as one of the favorites in this year’s Falmouth Road Race.

Pamela Kosgei claimed titles in both the 5000m and 10,000m at the 2025 Outdoor NCAA Championships, earning valuable points for the University of New Mexico Lobos during her freshman campaign. Making her road debut only a few weeks ago, she won the Beach To Beacon Road Race and carried her momentum into Falmouth. Pamela’s older sister, Brigid, is an Olympic silver medalist in the marathon and former marathon world record holder.
