The early alarms. The humid mornings. The days when motivation is hard to find. They all become part of your story.

Keep showing up. Keep putting in the work. Keep believing in what you’re building. It’ll all pay off in August.

Sarah Burke is running the 2026 ASICS Falmouth Road Race to support breast cancer patients by helping to provide essential services, free of charge, through Ellie Fund.

Sarah’s connection to Ellie Fund began in 2010, when her mom, Evanne Burke, became a recipient during her breast cancer journey. After a long and courageous battle, Evanne passed away far too young, at just 44 years old.

“Today, I run in memory of my mom and for every individual and family facing breast cancer. As a proud Development Manager at Ellie Fund, it means so much to now help support families walking a path so similar to the one my family once did. The impact from the support provided by Ellie Fund for my family and I is everlasting.”

Ellie Fund provides services such as grocery gift cards, prepared and delivered nutritious meals, transportation to medical appointments, childcare reimbursement, housekeeping, and integrative therapy services to breast cancer patients receiving treatment in Massachusetts.

🇺🇸 Happy Flag Day! 🇺🇸

Every August, thousands of runners pass beneath the American flag as they make their way down the final stretch of the ASICS Falmouth Road Race. It’s one of the most iconic sights on our course—and a reminder of the traditions, community, and pride that have been part of this race for more than 50 years.

Today, we celebrate the flag that welcomes runners to the finish line and waves above the final steps of the course for the entire Falmouth community to see. ❤️

Drop a 🇺🇸 in the comments if you’ve ever crossed the FRR finish line under Old Glory!

Your reminder that every training run now is making that finish line feeling even sweeter in August. 👟🇺🇸❤️

Whether you’ve got one FRR under your belt or 50+, we’d be willing to bet that your first Falmouth taught you a thing or two.

We’ll go first: Team Falmouth’s own Lindsay Benson may sound like an expert when she answers your DMs, but when she ran her first Falmouth back in 2014, she learned the hard way that, while taking a pair of scissors to a cotton T-shirt may be a fun way to make a custom tank for casual wear, the finished product does not hold up to the demands of the course on race day, including the humidity and the hoses. 💦🫠 (this shirt: “I’m meeeellting!”) Moisture-wicking fabric is your friend.

Drop your best "I learned this the hard way" advice in the comments and help this year's first-time runners have their best race yet. ⬇️

This August, Paul Seitz will run his 5th ASICS Falmouth Road Race for Family Reach. Paul was first touched by cancer at 12 years old when his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Luckily, Paul’s mom was soon in remission, and has been cancer-free for over twenty years.

Since then, Paul’s dad and friends have also been impacted by cancer. “We’ve all seen the stress and uncertainty that a cancer diagnosis puts on a family. From draining treatments and constant worry, to immense sacrifice from loved ones to aid in the battle, a cancer diagnosis brings plenty of stress to deal with, and financial burdens should not add to it. I’m motivated by the thought of being able to provide a gas card to transport someone to treatment, or rent assistance for a parent who had to pause their life to care for a sick child."
