Our Patriots Girls Flag Football team had a fabulous day of scrimmaging! They showed up & showed out! 💪Way to go girls!
Try & catch a game this season! They will be back at it again next weekend!

As much as we wish we were holding all groups tonight, girls flag football is still ON!

Ages 8-12, must be 8 by August 1st, and cannot turn 13 before August 1st.
First practice is tonight 6-8!

UPDATE: Girls Flag Football is not included! Practice and season for girls flag will go on as planned.

🚨 URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

It is with heavy hearts that we share some very disappointing news. Today, we were informed by NKYFL that the Pendleton County Patriots Football & Cheer organization will not be permitted to participate in the 2026 season.

Unfortunately, despite the support we’ve received and the steady stream of registrations coming in over the past several days, our overall registration numbers remained too low to field complete teams at both the Starters and Juniors levels. Under NKYFL requirements, organizations must have complete teams at each required age division in order to participate.

We held onto hope until the very end, believing that additional players would register. With practices scheduled to begin Tuesday, NKYFL made the difficult decision to cancel our season so families would still have the opportunity to register with another local organization before it’s too late.

Please know that no one is more heartbroken or disappointed than we are. This organization has poured countless hours into preparing for this season, and this outcome is devastating for our players, cheerleaders, families, coaches, volunteers, and board members.

While this chapter is incredibly difficult, it is not the end of the Patriots. If anything, this has strengthened our determination. We are already committed to rebuilding, growing our program, and returning stronger than ever for the 2027 season. The Patriots organization is here to stay, and we will continue fighting to provide youth football and cheer opportunities for the children of Pendleton County.

NKYFL has approved our registered players and cheerleaders to join any of the following organizations:

* Campbell County Red Devils
* Grant County Tomahawks
* Walton-Verona Bearcats
* Simon Kenton Lions

If your child wishes to play or cheer this season, we encourage you to contact one of these organizations as soon as possible to complete registration.

Refund Information:
All registration fees will be refunded in full. Our board members will begin contacting every registered family individually today to discuss your refund. We kindly ask that you refrain from contacting us, as we will be busy processing refunds and making nearly 70 personal phone calls. Calls will be made in no particular order, so we sincerely appreciate your patience. Every family will receive a call.

To everyone who believed in us, volunteered, supported our mission, and trusted us with your children—thank you. Your support means more than words can express.

We truly hope to see each of you back in Patriots red, white, and blue for the 2027 season.

Friendly reminders for the start of our season next week:
❗️On the first day of practice please bring your child’s up to date sports physical, copy of their birth certificate, and a copy of their insurance card.
❗️Without a physical, your child will not be able to participate in practice. They will be more than welcome to watch and get fitted for their equipment/uniforms.
❗️Football players need cleats. Cheerleaders please wear tennis shoes.
❗️Equipment will be handed out the first day of practice. Cheer will be having fittings this day as well (July 14th)
