Where do we start? What a month to remember💜🖤🐺. It goes alittle something like this….
THE ONE FINALS:
Alpha Bits💜Taking a Tiny Novice to a big end of the year event out of town…crazy, right!?! Not for these littles. This team was adorable and finished Top 5 out of a gazillion teams!
Tiny Power Pups🖤Got a bid, let’s go! Very early start, average age is 6, in the biggest convention center in the US & these kids still hit their routine with grace and a smile on their face. Top 10 finish for these ladies (with less than a point from 10th-5th)
Mighty Pups Mini 1.1🐺Highest score of the season. Creative opening & elements throughout and near perfect ex*****on in tumbling…oh, and hit zero!! Congrats to this young team on 8th place out of 16 teams (3 tenths divided 4th-8th place😳)
Apollo Youth 1💜. This team, this team, this team….so much talent & so many athletes taking the floor. Impressive! Queen Supreme! Deep division of 24 teams and came out of Day 1 in 5th place with everyone so close. Day 2 they finished 7th place & we couldn’t be prouder.
ALL STAR WORLDS:
A Squad Sr 4🖤Went into Semi Finals with an At Large bid & ready to hit! Loved the venue, loved the vibe they brought and loved their routine. Such a fun team to be a part of! Small tumbling mistake kept us from being perfect on the scoresheet but they were perfect to us. 5 advanced and we were #6.
Eclipse Jr 1🐺BEST ROUTINE OF THE SEASON!!! They lite up that stage. 1st time experience and they rose above the occasion. Such a great way to end their season. Deep division and missing finals by a 10th of a point was amazing!!!!
JWolves Jr 2💜 This team performs before they even hit the mat. The pep talk before warm ups, the encouragement in warm ups, the “you got this!” when entering the stage….this team is one of a kind! Entering this competition with a paid bid was not surprising, missing finals by .05 was! Congrats ladies on an amazing season.
D2 SUMMIT:
Fierce Pups Jr 3🖤We went in as underdogs in a division with 30 teams but 91 teams overall in Wild Card. They hit and they HIT HARD. Let me repeat, they HIT HARD! To advance to Finals was so exciting then to realize we were in 2nd place in our division and 4th place overall blew us away! After an injury at practice & a lot of tears, a crossover stepped in & this team was determined. Hit hard again in Finals and as the announcer said “The best J3 teams in the nation sit in this room” we were thrilled to tie for 16th place out of everyone!
Lady Alphas 2.0💜Coming into Summit on a paid bid sets the bar high. This group of athletes knew exactly what they needed to do & did it. The night before going on, one of their flyers got injured. Within an hour they had taught a new flyer the entire routine. To watch this team of young adults go through adversity with such grace was an honor. Their performance was nothing but AMAZING! 4th place at D2 Summit is an honor and will be remembered forever.
It was an amazing month for this gym, for our coaches and especially for these kids. This is why we do this…not for ourselves but for these kids. As the saying goes…
“The joy from a child can warm anyone’s heart”.
