Hello Everyone! As the temps become perfect for climbing and more people hear and start to visit Rough River please keep these simple rules in mind to ensure we can keep this area open for everyone for years to come! We greatly appreciate your help!
1. Absolutely No Trespassing. When topping out, stay below the trees marked with red dots to get back to your climbing area. Do not take short cuts to and from the road. Use the approved steps, and stay below the red dotted trees.
2. Be respectful to the locals and homeowners of this neighborhood.
3. Please carpool. If the parking lot is full do not park on the road as we do not have permission for this.
4. FA's - If you think you have completed an FA then you must fully clean the boulder problem and the top out. Take a video of the person climbing the FA and submit it to this page and we will add it to the guidebook as soon as possible.
5. We do not have persimmon to post stuff about the Panther Creek Area (and other Rough River Areas) on other websites. The developers of Rough River have given our word to the U.S.A.C.E. "Core" and HOA that we would only post stuff about climbing to this website for now. Later on we will have persimmon to share this info on other websites, but for now please be respectful to this to ensure we can maintain access for all.
6. Everyone should bring crash pads and spot each other! If a climber is on the wall, then your crew should be spotting that person at all times. Safety always comes first! Make sure you have an adequate amount of pads for your group or the problem you are climbing.
7. Leave No Trace! Pack out all your trash and if you want to be an amazing person, pick up some extra trash brought in by the flood waters.
We have put in a lot of years and hard hours developing this area for all to enjoy. Please follow these rules and be respectful to ensure we can keep this great climbing area open.
If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out the developing crew on this page and we will be happy to help.
Thanks Everyone and Happy Climbing!
