United States Wushu Academy - USWA The Academy was founded in 1988 by Christopher Pei and Zhang Guifeng. The Academy was founded in 1988 by Masters Christopher Pei and Zhang Guifeng.

Since its creation, the United States Wushu Academy has championed the promotion of Wushu, Taiji, Sanda, Qigong in the United States. The main goals of the United States Wushu Academy are:

1. To cultivate character through the Academy's educational experiences
2. To provide the student with the highest quality of instruction
3. To train and produce top competition athletes for the World Games

FAQ
Q: I'm interested in becoming a student at USWA, how do I enroll? A: Although, it is not a requirement, we recommend that interested students come visit our academy to observe a class. You first enroll in our two-month trial period. Once you have completed the two months, you will talk to one of our head coaches to determine which class option will best fit your interests and skill level. Q: What is the minimum age for a student? What is the maximum? A: The recommended age for young children is 5 to 6 years old. We will accept young children as students if they are able to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively. There however is no maximum age to train in wushu or taiji.
