Had a great instructor experience this weekend. I broke my personal rule and shot a competition match. Took a student with me that i brought from no fi****ms experience to his first match. did a phenomenal job of being safe and shooting straight.

2 different targets, 2 different rifles, same story to tell. Target 1: Savage Arms .22LR bolt action @ 25 YDS. A group of 5, a group of 3, another group of 3, and finished out with the following 39 rounds in the bull. Target 2: Savage Arms .17 HMR semi-automatic @ 25 yds. A group of 2, a group of 2, a group of 2, final group of 44 in the bull. Final group with the bolt action was much tighter. Semi-auto took half the time. If you can’t do this with a plinking rifle, you won’t be able to do it with a big gun. ****ms ****mstraining ****msinstructor #

A progression of the transformation of this

Painting your rifle can have many benefits. It helps protect your rifle from the elements, it prevents rust, and makes your rifle immediately identifiable. Most importantly though, it allows your gun to blend into the natural environment when done properly. Natural vegetation and colors are paramount for a successful paint job.
