To Everyone who did the Reverse Rain Dance 🕺🏽 and called in favors with the Softball Gods... it worked! 🙌🏽🥎

💥💥 Nevada's bipolar weather has finally decided to cooperate, and we're getting some ball games in! 💥💥

Shout out to our league President Quentin Owens for spending his weekend bringing the field back from the dead 🤙🏽

So bring your A-game, your glove, and your concession stand money 🤑 That beer & hot dog ain't gonna buy itself! 🍻

‼️‼️ BREAKING NEWS: Nevada weather has officially entered its “main character with mood swings” era ‼️‼️

Sunshine at noon… monsoon by dinner. Love that for us.🙄

Unfortunately, Mother Nature has decided our first official week of softball needed a rain check. 🤦🏽‍♀️

⚠️ ALL CO-ED GAMES CANCELLED TODAY ⚠️

💥💥 MAY 29th 💥💥

At this point, the fields have seen more water than my daily hydration goals 💧

We’re hoping the weather quits acting like it’s going through a breakup and behaves next week so we can FINALLY play some softball 🥎

Until then:

☔ stay safe
☔ stay dry
☔ maybe start building an ark just in case

‼️‼️ Nevada weather got us in a toxic relationship ‼️‼️

One minute it’s sunshine & softball…🥎
the next minute it’s building an ark in the parking lot 🌧️🚣

At this point we need:
🕺 3 rain-reversal dances
🧂 a salt circle around the fields
♨️ and at least one dad grilling in cargo shorts to restore balance to the universe.

⚠️ If anybody knows a weather wizard, please send them to the softball fields immediately ⚠️

Until then… we’ll keep y’all updated for tomorrow’s CO-ED GAMES.

🇺🇸🇺🇸 Today is Memorial Day. 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Not just a Monday.
Not just the unofficial start of summer.
Not just cookouts, lake days, and red white and blue paper plates.

Today is for the people
who left home one ordinary morning
and never came back.

It is for the mother
who still keeps his medals in the top drawer.

For the wife
who still reaches across the bed sometimes
out of habit.

For the little boy
who only knows his father
through photographs and folded flags.

Today is for the names carved into stone.
For boots that stopped walking.
For futures that were handed over
so ours could keep going.

And maybe that is the hardest part of Memorial Day.

Realizing your ordinary life
was once somebody’s sacrifice.

The laughter in your backyard.
The sound of your children safe inside the house.
The freedom to wake up slowly
and decide what kind of life you want to live.

Somebody gave up everything for that.

So today,
before the burgers hit the grill
and the fireworks light the sky,
may we stop long enough to remember:

freedom has always been expensive.
🙏🏽🙏🏽 And somebody else paid the bill. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
