This past weekend, the boys had their first race on the repaved and redesigned track in Reno. Both boys had speed this weekend and had fun racing. Nate qualified P9 and Jeremy P11. In heat 1, they were both pushed out to the dirt in turn 2 and had to fight their way back up to the front. In heat 2, Nate started 10th and Jeremy 12th. The boys fought hard, and Nate brought it home P4, and Jeremy P11. The next race in Reno is a doubleheader on July 11 and 12.

Had a pretty fun weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway kart track for CKNA Spring Nationals. For Senior Light, Nate qualified P28, and for Medium, he qualified P32. Nate got taken out in the 1st heat of Senior Light when a kart turned down on him and got hooked on his front bumper. He finished P25 in heat 2 and had to start 19th in LCQ Light, and he worked his way to 5th. He missed the Light main by .007 seconds; only the top 4 went to the main event.

In Senior Medium, he finished heat 1 P21 and heat 2 P16. He started the main medium in P35. On the first lap, he got knocked off the track and fell back to second from last in 46th position. He drove hard and made it up to P26.

We had great power with Invader Racing Engines and Doug Fleming's motors. We'd like to thank Cole Nelson Racing and the Invader racing team for a great weekend.

NNKC had its award banquet last night. We didn't win this year, but the boys did great. Jeremy finished 4th in the points for Junior 2 LO206 and 3rd in points for Senior KA100. Nate finished 3rd in points in Senior LO206 and capped the year off with a 2nd place finish at IKF Grand Nationals. Next season, the boys will be competing against each other for the first time in Senior LO206

Couple of weeks ago the boys had their most recent race at NNKC in Reno. Jeremy was fast and qualified second. He finished first heat in 3rd. He made it back to P2 in second heat until he hit a large patch of dirt that was put down on the track. He spun and fell to almost last place. A red flag allowed him to catch back up to P6. He finished the final in P5. In KA100 he was able to get a P2 finish.

Nate was fast all weekend. He qualified 3rd. He was able to finish P2 in heat 1 and 3. In final he lead a few laps and ended up finishing P2.

Next race in a couple of weeks is the annual night race at NNKC.

Pretty eventful weekend for Nate at Blue Max for the 2nd round of the Gold Rish Series. Jeremy decided to stay home after his severe accident there last year. On Friday practice the key broke on clutch and the clutch got stuck on the shaft. Damaged the key way slightly but was able to get it off with some work. Engine still good. Finished 5th Saturday. On Sunday, Nate got spun in turn 2 and fell to last place. A red flag for a flip brought Nate back up to the pack. He would finish heat in 5th. Great race in the main and he finished the day P4.
