From the beginning, the aim of CrossFit has been to forge a broad, general, and inclusive fitness. We sought to build a program that would best prepare trainees for any physical contingency- prepare them not only for the unknown but for the unknowable. Looking at all sport and physical tasks collectively, we asked what physical skills and adaptations would most universally le

nd themselves to performance advantage. Capacity culled from the intersection of all sports demands would quite logically lend itself well to all sport. In sum, our specialty is not specializing. CrossFit Methodology

The methodology that drives CrossFit is entirely empirical. We believe that meaningful statements about safety, efficacy, and efficiency, the three most important and interdependent facets of any fitness program, can be supported only by measurable, observable, repeatable facts, i.e., data. We call this approach “evidence-based fitness.” The CrossFit methodology depends on full disclosure of methods, results, and criticisms, and we’ve employed the Internet (and various intranets) to support these values. Our charter is open source, making co-developers out of participating coaches, athletes, and trainers through a spontaneous and collaborative online community. CrossFit is empirically driven, clinically tested, and community developed. The Sport of Fitness

In implementation, CrossFit is, quite simply, a sport—the “sport of fitness.” We’ve learned that harnessing the natural camaraderie, competition, and fun of sport or game yields an intensity that cannot be matched by other means. The late Col. Jeff Cooper observed that “the fear of sporting failure is worse than the fear of death.” It is our observation that men will die for points. Using whiteboards as scoreboards, keeping accurate scores and records, running a clock, and precisely defining the rules and standards for performance, we not only motivate unprecedented output but derive both relative and absolute metrics at every workout; this data has important value well beyond motivation.

Equipment does not define your effort. Yes we all love the equipment in the gym and the ability to workout with each other but none of those things should dictate your effort. The same effort should go into the work we’re doing now as it was when we’re able to get after in in the gym, and to me the effort might even be greater now. No one is watching (except me) The discipline is harder, the mental approach is harder and the excitement to do the work is harder. HARD = HAPPY

Fallbrook CrossFit Tribe...

Today San Diego County public health officials expanded orders in the temporary closing of all gyms and fitness centers effective 3/19/2020-3/31/2020. Although not the news we had hoped to hear... if you know me you know how much I love a challenge! Not being able to engage with you guys face to face will no doubt suck but I’m actually a little excited to get to show off how cool and resilient our community is! Although we will not be open physically, we are going to do our best to keep everyone one as engaged as possible virtually. Yeah I know it’s not even close to the same but we’re gonna try super hard! We will be putting out content daily and encourage you guys to post videos as well, comment on our videos and keep the the “banter” going as you all know how much I love that! I truly do believe we have one of the most amazing communities out there and when the dust settles from all this we’ll for sure be standing! Unlike most of you after your workouts!

Equipment check out is still an option so let us know what you need and we’ll get it taken care of. Updates will be posted as quickly as we get them!

Rest assured that These decisions are not easy and are not taken lightly. You guys are amazing and I’m extremely grateful for your patience and understanding!
