Did you know that doing progressive resistance training just twice a week can result in significant gains in muscle mass and strength, even over the age of 75? And having good quality muscle as we age helps us to maintain our independence, prevents falls, preserves bone density, improves sleep, helps stave off depression, and much more. Skye’s Super Smoothie🥬🍋🫐🥑🥕

Whipping up a quick, tasty smoothie helps me ensure that I ultimately get the micro nutrients I need with very little effort. Maybe this isn’t for everyone, but as for me, it helps start my day off perfectly, with lots of energy to help me get through my busy days. 

Ingredients:
1 cup almond milk or similar
4 large kale leaves
2 cups spinach
1 large carrot
2 stalks of celery
1/2 medium avocado
1 peeled lemon
1 scoop collagen powder
1 scoop vanilla Orgain protein
1 tablespoon flax
1 scoop Juce superfruit powder (optional)
1 cup frozen blueberries

Blend until smooth and enjoy 😊

Protein: 29
Carbs: 61
Fat: 20
Fiber: 24 🙌
Potassium: 1610 mg
Vitamin A: 149% daily requirement
Vitamin C: 243%

Please, help me wish this athlete all the best today as she competes in her first bodybuilding show at the famous Muscle Beach in Venice 🏆☀️👙👠🙌

Beth came to Skye Fitness last fall to help her prepare for the upcoming 12-week prep this Spring. She followed the program precisely and persevered even when it was challenging.
