Our motto is “FEAR – Full Effort, All Reps”. We live in an area where outdoor practice is difficult for several months out of the year. As a result, we expect every swing, throw, and fielded ball is handled with your absolute best game performance.
· No player is a finished product, we will work with you to grow your strengths and improve upon your areas of opportunities
· You
must have the courage to fail to be able to be successful
· No player is above the team
· All players will play unless there is a disciplinary issue. You can’t improve by not putting what you practice into game action
· Practices are crucial so players need to show up, listen, and put forth full effort
· Baseball is not just swinging a bat and throwing a ball, we expect you to work on yourself outside of practices and games. You will need to work on strengthening, conditioning, situational thinking, teamwork, and general baseball knowledge. We will provide you with drills, websites, and exercises to help you improve on occasion.
· If a player needs extra work or has questions, just ask a coach. We can’t help a player improve if they don’t share their concerns with us
· When we work on a technique or adjustment give it time to work. Most players have had upwards of ten years of learning different techniques from different coaches. The adjustment of muscle memory of thousands of swings or throws won’t feel natural in one practice
· If you can’t be a good teammate or give your best effort in practice than how can we expect that you will give your best when the game is on the line?
