Donation Sunday for the Browns Backers of Jamestown, NY as 29 Backers of Jamestown and a four Browns Fans from the 216 joined us to honor local groups who work for the betterment of our local communities and also the Browns Foundation. Started out as a great day at Waddington's Tavern and ended as a super greater day after the Brown and Brown and Brown (sometimes known as the Orange and Brown, but not today) put a W in the Good Column as the Defense reigned supreme today. Way to go, Browns!!

Browns Backers of Jamestown NY welcomed 32 Backers
and Fans at Waddington's Tavern to do what we do, WE SHOW UP! We show up for our Browns, for each other, and for our community. Next Sunday, we will be welcoming reps from 5 local charities/causes/ groups, who do so much for our community and we'll present three 500.00, and two 250.00 checks to these groups who were selected by membership vote in recognition of all they do. We also mailed 500.00 to the Browns Foundation as we have done annually for many years. (The check is in the mail, Corey Kinder) This is not meant to be a "Tooting of our own Horn," it is meant to recognize members from our group, and all Backers groups for being more than just a Football Fan Club! I am proud to be a member of such a group, and especially proud of our Browns Backers of Jamestown for showing up each week, no matter the record, no matter the game outcome. Congratulations to all Browns Backers chapters who keep showing up for our team and our communities!

40 plus Browns Fans and Browns Backers of Jamestown NY packed Waddington's Tavern today to watch the home opener. A lot to feel good about, except the outcome. Exciting? YES! Disappointing? YES! Will we show up next week? YES! YES! YES! Why! Because that's what Browns Fans do. Neither rain, nor snow, nor years of not getting to Football's Promised Land, shall keep loyal Browns fans from showing up each week!!

The Browns Backers of Jamestown NY send congratulations to Coach Nick Sirianni and the Philadelphia Eagles on their Super Bowl LIX victory and Championship, and also to Coach Sirianni's family, players, coaches and the city of Philadelphia. It won't erase the tragedy of two weeks ago in the City of Brotherly Love, but it might bring a little comfort and a small respite in a time of pain and sadness.

18 Browns Backers of Jamestown NY gathered at Waddington's Tavern to celebrate a victory over the Ravens. Great job by the defense, special teams, Winston on his quick release to avoid pressure and Tillman for his second game of stepping up after the trade of Cooper. Nice win, Browns!!

26 Loyal Browns Backers of Jamestown NY, showed up today while a half dozen or so were in the 216 to watch the Orange and Brown take on the Orange and Black. Not the result we wanted, and never wanting to see anyone from our team get severely injured, but maybe there were some rays of sunshine bleeding through the cracks. First, the return of Nick Chubb was great to see, especially when he crossed the goal line. Second, DTR had some good runs as he eluded a strong Cincy rush. Winston, too, had some bright moments. Except for the tip causing interception. Tillman looked pretty good. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough, so we have a lot of work to do to right this ship. And we will keep showing up, because it's in our blood. Go Browns!!

Browns Backers of Jamestown NY, Browns Backers Presidents Forum, Browns Fans...The Backers of Jamestown had a great SRO crowd at Waddington's Tavern today, to cheer on the Brown and Orange as they were victorious over the Bengals by way of a dominating defense, a great game by Nick Chubb, and 10 points from their new kicker. We had a number of folks join us from the Cleveland and a young man from Canton. Great way to start the season.

The Browns Backers of Jamestown NY are ready to go tomorrow as the Orange and Brown take to the gridiron to open the 2023 NFL season. We'll be at our official area home of Browns football, Waddington’s Tavern, so if you're a Browns fan, and would like to become a Browns Backer, and can't get the game due to the problem with Direct TV and Nexstar, come on down, enjoy the game, and see what we're all about.
