At Westside, I trained next to guys I rarely crossed paths with outside those walls. Different jobs, different lives, some I only knew by the nicknames we’d given each other. Didn’t matter. In that gym, we were all there for the same reason.

We didn’t carry each other. If you weren’t holding your own, somebody told you. Not just somebody, many bodies. That’s what real cooperation looks like in a room full of people trying to get strong. Not politeness. Accountability.

You don’t get strong by yourself. You get strong because the people next to you won’t let you get away with less than your best, and you won’t let them either.

Build that. Find the people who’ll tell you the truth and stay in the fight with you. Then be that person for somebody else.

That’s the whole system. Brothers or fools. Pick one.
