How many people already have their birds down on eggs so far? I won’t be pairing up till the end of January or beginning of February. I have a few new pairs to try this year but most will be the same as last year. We all hope we have that one winning pair though. Everyone be safe going into the new year and pray we can start having group functions again. I always look forward to the youngbird auctions and hope Belleville can put together something this year instead of only online.

I have fond memories of my dad bringing in our homing pigeons to my 2nd grade class and teaching all of the kids about them and how amazing they were. We always had the capsules from WW2 for sending messages and a few select kids got to write out a message and I would bring those back in the next day to show everyone. When we got birds again my father was so excited to bring the birds to my nephews class. We got everything you could imagine from the AU and even were putting a PowerPoint together to make it even nicer. We had a date finally set and everything was ready to go and two weeks away the Corona Virus sent the kids home for good and spoiled our plans. Well as life would have it my dad passed away this year on August 4th and we never got to do that together. I am really hoping things can get better this year and I can get to present the pigeons in dads honor at my nephews and my daughters school this spring.

I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving this year. Things were much different in the Sieveking household but we had a great time with the Wifes family and look forward to a normal dinner next year. I hope everyone has their future winning breeders picked out and start laying those eggs in the coming months. I think this time of year is a good time to assess if you reached the goals you had planned for this year and making a new list of goals for 2021. There is always room for improvement as no one is perfect and if your newer and are shooting for a 1st Club win or maybe step up to winning a Combine win. But most of all have fun and enjoy your friends and still throw in a little trash talking ☺️. Take care everyone

We were worried that due to everything going on this year a Auction would be difficult. Everyone came together to make this the biggest auction yet. Congrats to Clara Soto for 3 combine wins in a row for Belleville club with a nice breakaway bird. Makes you wonder if thats the bird in the release that broke away from the group and went off by itself. We do not have official winners for the Belleville Auction Race yet but I will post as soon as I get it. The race was pulled back to a Lebanon release due to fog and overcast conditions in Springfield. Time to stretch them out this weekend. Good luck everyone!

Looks like 135 potential birds have a chance to win the Belleville Auction Race! $1271 for first place. I wish everyone good luck on Sunday and looks like you couldn’t ask for a much nicer day for a race. Thank you everyone again for your participation and being a part of the largest Belleville Auction to date.

Belleville Club takes 4 of the 5 top spots and wins the Combine 2 weeks in a row against 463 birds! Congrats Clara and Jose Soto on the big wins. They have their birds on point lately but let’s see what happens when we stretch the birds out another 50 miles. Can the Wife and Husband team keep it going or will someone else take the top spot? Good luck everyone this weekend and it is also the Belleville Auction Race with First place over $1200. I will make a separate post for the auction

Race 2 for the season is in the books and I couldn’t be any prouder of our club. 492 birds shipped and Belleville Club took 8 of the top 10 spots. Clara Soto got her first win with her husband Jose catching up like usual 😝. Stan Sak Jr and Ricky Mesina are both stepping it up this year and all that training is really paying off. When i joined the club in 2017 I would never thought we would grow from 5 flyers to now 12. I need to stop finding new pigeon flyers on craiglist as they are now beating me. My highlight of the week is Ricky flying a bird I bred that finished 9th combine! Good job everyone!

I wanted to send out a huge congratulations to Ricky Mesina for his first club win. Everyone has been training very hard this year and I knew Ricky had it in him to finally pull it off. We sent 108 birds and he was on top of the list. Everyone in the club flew great and it was a very competitive race and close to boot! Mike Stones had his first race and finished 13th. This weekend we will have a very nice day again to do it again. Good luck to everyone this coming Sunday!
