A US Masters Swimming program aimed at high level coaching for swim parents, triathletes, competitive swimmers, and those looking for aquatic fitness.

Genesee Valley Masters Swimming meets at the following days and times:

Mondays:
6:00AM-7:30AM at Perinton Community Center

Tuesdays:
5:30AM-7:30AM at Perinton Community Center

Wednesdays:
6:00AM-7:30AM at Perinton Community Center

Thursdays:

📢 Weather Update: Perinton Town Hall and Community Center Delayed Opening on Monday, 1/26

Due to ongoing winter storm impacts and for the safety of residents and staff, Perinton Town Hall and the Perinton Community Center will open on a delayed schedule, Monday, January 26, at 10:00 a.m.

Before visiting any Town facility, we encourage you to check in by calling Town Hall (585) 223-0770, or the Community Center (585) 223-5050 to confirm hours and program availability, as conditions may continue to change overnight.

DPW crews continue to monitor conditions closely and will remain active throughout the night. During significant winter weather events, our operators work around the clock, maintaining 22 plow routes and nearly 460 lane miles of Town, County, and State roads. Sidewalk clearing will occur as part of final storm cleanup when conditions allow. Crews will continue treating roads, intersections, and overpasses to help keep travel as safe as possible. We remain extremely grateful for the dedication of our DPW team during this extended storm response.

We will continue to provide updates into Monday. Please follow our website, Perinton.gov, and social channels for any additional delays or closures.

Congrats to our CRAIG TRAVERS, who swam a total of 1,000,000 yards in 2025!! This marks the 6th consecutive year that Craig has accomplished this feat.

🚨NEW SWIM RECORD(S) ALERT 🚨‼️

GVM’s ERIN MCGRAW LEEGAN (36) set fire 🔥 to the water this past weekend, as she competed down in New Jersey at the Somerset County Pentathlon, in Bridgewater, NJ. 🌊

Competing in the short course meter (SCM) format, Erin dominated all 6 of her races💦. All 6 are new Niagara LMSC records (34-39), with 3 (50 Fly, 50 Back, and 100 IM) of them new Colony Zone records. 9 total records 👏

There’s no limit to Erin’s potential, or the Genesee Valley Masters (GVM)!

Meanwhile this weekend we had a crew compete at the RAMS Holiday Invite at SUNY Brockport. Check back later for a post on that, as we await the meet results from Saturday to be finalized.

🏊🏊‍♀️ RAMS INVITE tomorrow (Sat 12/13) at SUNY Brockport. Our team has been building up our endurance, technique, and excitement these past 11 weeks. Hard at work each and every day before the sun comes up over the beautiful Town of Perinton horizon, with an energy and enthusiam that’s palpable!

Another week at GVM comes to a close, with teammates fist bumping one another in support!
