Fairmont Senior High School's Polar Bear Wrestling team ranks as one of the most storied programs in West Virginia state history. With 67 individual state championships (4th all-time behind only Parkersburg, Parkersburg South and Oak Glen) Polar Bear wrestling is known for producing strong individuals and teams dating back to 1952. The Polar Bears have two feeder programs, West Fairmont Middle School (6th-8th grades) and West Fairmont Junior Wrestling (Preschool-5th grades). State Championship Teams

"Frazier has been doing this since he was a kid in Fairmont. He was a four-time heavyweight state wrestling champion at Fairmont Senior High School, losing just two matches during his entire high school wrestling career. He also helped Fairmont Senior win state championships on the football field before deciding to stay home and play for West Virginia."
