2025 R.E.P. “The Walking Dead” Challenge

Welcome to the R.E.P. “The Walking Dead” Challenge. [Individual]. An 8 week weight loss and walking challenge.
This is the most difficult challenge I have proposed in the 13 years of R.E.P.’s existence, but if it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you 🙂
The purpose of this challenge is to be active and work with your team to stay active on a consistent basis. The important details:

-Challenge begins 9/7 and ends 11/2.
-You have to be a member of R.E.P. Fitness to participate. $60/month membership [$25 off per month “discount”]
-EVERY individual MUST weigh in weekly at R.E.P. Fitness.
-You should attend at least one class per week at R.E.P. Fitness.
-EVERY PARTICIPANT MUST WALK/RUN 2-4 miles EVERY DAY OF THE CHALLENGE. [Distance is dependent on how many people sign up].
*** This is an individual challenge when it comes to the weight loss aspect. However, depending on how many people sign up, you will be divided into equal teams. If 20 people sign up, there will be two teams of 10. As a team of 10, your goal is to walk to the length of the Appalachian Trail [2,200 miles], over the course of the 8 week challenge. The more people that sign up, the less individual miles you will have to do daily. *** If less than 20 people sign up, mileage will be decreased accordingly.

FEE: $50 [for the entire 8 weeks]- goes towards the prize pool!

Do it the right way!! Typically if you lose over 5lbs in one week, you’ve drastically changed your eating habits, aka “starvation diet” [drastically cut calories], which is not the sustainable way to lose weight.

*** If taking ozempic or something similar, you are not eligible to participate ***

*Weigh-ins will be every Sunday from 7:30am - 8:30am. *For weigh-ins: Please wear workout clothing. Example: yoga pants & tank top, shorts & t-shirt. You are not allowed to weigh in wearing jeans, sweatshirt etc. We want the most accurate weigh in.

Challenge winners are determined by highest weight loss percentage. (amount of weight lost/”starting weight” X 100).

Looking for 10-12 kids that are “serious” about training!!

Where: R.E.P. Fitness

When: Monday and Wednesday 3:15-4pm

Dates: March 17th, 19th, 24th, 26th. April 7th, 9th, 14th and 16th. Possibly 21st and 23rd as well.

Age group: 12-16 years old (boys and girls)

Cost: $150

About the program:

- emphasis on proper technique and appropriate weight selection
- focus on injury prevention
- basic lifts with a barbell (squats, bench press and deadlifts)
- speed, agility and plyometric exercises

Each workout will include a warm up (aerobic/flexibility)

Each workout will be different

Each workout will include a cool down w/ light stretching.

I am kicking off the New Year with another challenge.

ALL classes available at REP count towards your one class per week. Mine, Chey's or Stephanie's.

Here are the deets:

2025 R.E.P. “Witness the Fitness” Challenge

[2 person team]. An 8 week challenge!

The purpose of this challenge is to be active and stay active on a consistent basis and to help you stick to healthy habits. The important details:

You DO NOT have to be a member of R.E.P. Fitness to participate.
EVERY individual MUST weigh in weekly at R.E.P. Fitness.
You MUST attend at least one class per week at R.E.P. Fitness.
EVERY PARTICIPANT MUST WALK 20 MINUTES EVERY DAY OF THE CHALLENGE. NO EXCUSES!!

You are encouraged to do measurements [waist, chest, hips] to track your progress.

You are encouraged to set daily & weekly goals. I want to know these goals, so I can do my part to help you reach them.

*** GREAT NEWS all ***

R.E.P. would like to welcome Stephanie Davis. She will be instructing Senior Fitness and Functional Fitness classes starting Tuesday September 3rd!

Stephanie is a Vermont native and has been in the healthcare field since 2002. Starting as a certified personal trainer and fitness instructor for many years. She has also worked in a physical therapy office, aiding patients in their rehab exercises. She wanted to help people with more than just their physical fitness and health, so she became a massage therapist to help with recovery and restoration too. After graduation in 2014 she started her own wellness center in East Burke Vt, “Trail2wellness Fitness & Spa LLC”, which offered fitness and massage services.
She sold the business in 2020 to move to central Vermont to support her husband's career in alpine skiing. During her stay in Waitsfield Vt Stephanie worked for Sugarbush Ski resort in their spa and fitness facility. Now Stephanie, her husband and two dogs live in Orford Nh, where she has found her forever home. Her plan and passion is to continue helping people feel their best. And taking some time to enjoy the Upper Valley, as well.
