2025 R.E.P. âThe Walking Deadâ Challenge
Welcome to the R.E.P. âThe Walking Deadâ Challenge. [Individual]. An 8 week weight loss and walking challenge.
This is the most difficult challenge I have proposed in the 13 years of R.E.P.âs existence, but if it doesnât challenge you, it wonât change you đ
The purpose of this challenge is to be active and work with your team to stay active on a consistent basis. The important details:
-Challenge begins 9/7 and ends 11/2.
-You have to be a member of R.E.P. Fitness to participate. $60/month membership [$25 off per month âdiscountâ]
-EVERY individual MUST weigh in weekly at R.E.P. Fitness.
-You should attend at least one class per week at R.E.P. Fitness.
-EVERY PARTICIPANT MUST WALK/RUN 2-4 miles EVERY DAY OF THE CHALLENGE. [Distance is dependent on how many people sign up].
*** This is an individual challenge when it comes to the weight loss aspect. However, depending on how many people sign up, you will be divided into equal teams. If 20 people sign up, there will be two teams of 10. As a team of 10, your goal is to walk to the length of the Appalachian Trail [2,200 miles], over the course of the 8 week challenge. The more people that sign up, the less individual miles you will have to do daily. *** If less than 20 people sign up, mileage will be decreased accordingly.
FEE: $50 [for the entire 8 weeks]- goes towards the prize pool!
Do it the right way!! Typically if you lose over 5lbs in one week, youâve drastically changed your eating habits, aka âstarvation dietâ [drastically cut calories], which is not the sustainable way to lose weight.
*** If taking ozempic or something similar, you are not eligible to participate ***
*Weigh-ins will be every Sunday from 7:30am - 8:30am. *For weigh-ins: Please wear workout clothing. Example: yoga pants & tank top, shorts & t-shirt. You are not allowed to weigh in wearing jeans, sweatshirt etc. We want the most accurate weigh in.
Challenge winners are determined by highest weight loss percentage. (amount of weight lost/âstarting weightâ X 100).
