All trails are now closed, we tried keeping open what we could for as long as possible but the time has come. Be sure to check back here if/when we get more cold and snow!

03/10/2026

Our trails east of VT113 in West Fairlee are now closed, our Vershire trails have been down graded to "caution" status but these may also close in the next couple days, only time will tell! Be sure to check the online VAST map for trail conditions as well as our page, we'll keep everyone updated as best we can!

These warm temps and sunny skies certainly aren't what we were hoping for! Trail 113 from lake Fairlee to Thetford center is now closed, please respect our gracious landowners and do not ride this section unless we receive enough cold temps and snow to reopen it. Our West Fairlee trails are now marked yellow but this may change over the next several days as well as our trails in Vershire, trail conditions will be day to day at best. We're not throwing in the towel on the season just yet folks, cold temps and chances for snow return later this week so keep those snow dances going and be sure to check the online VAST map and our page for updated trail conditions!

Some very disappointing news to share this evening, we lost the motor in our pistenbully today while out grooming in West Fairlee. This repair is going to take time and be extremely expensive, so needless to say our grooming season has come to an end. If the forecast changes and we get a late season storm, we will coordinate with our friends who groom our neighboring trail systems for help. We're still figuring out the best path forward in terms of repairs, but will keep all of you updated as best we can. Its a real bummer that such a great season has to end like this, but rest assured we'll be back in business for next year. Our trails will remain open as conditions allow, be sure to check back here for updates and thank you to everyone who has supported the club this year!

Update 7:00pm, the bully has been moved out of the trail.

By advised our Pistenbully is broken down on VAST rt 5 in West fairlee between the bridge and where the trail crosses VT113. Snowmobiles are able to get around safely, but please use caution in this area.

Countless hours are spent by volunteers behind the scenes to keep the VAST fleet of grooming equipment going. Every club has to deal with a mid season repair at some point and believe us they can be stressful. Great job Washington SnowFlyers getting the tucker back up and running!

The bully has been busy! We've been out grooming each of the past 3 days, we had a mechanical issue over the weekend that delayed us reaching the lower elevation trails in West Fairlee and Thetford, but today we groomed all the way to Thetford Center where we meet the Justin Morrill Drift Skippers Snowmobile Club and to Bloodbrook road in West Fairlee where we meet the Corinth Sno-Scramblers. These are best conditions we've had in years and the season won't be here forever so get out and rack up some miles!
