Success Story: After the BP oil spill in 2010, Fish like this basically disappeared, and most guides and anglers just stopped fishing for them. Tighter regulations, seasonal closures, a hatchery program, and a little conservation on the part of anglers and (some guides) have helped produce a nice turnaround. For the first time in many years, I am able to target these fish, and even allow my clients to keep a few for dinner! Just keep what you need, and release the rest!

After a couple weeks of bad weather and canceled trips, it sure was nice to get back out!
