Way to go St. Michael Cross Country!

The opening weeks of the 2026 high school cross-country season have provided plenty of racing across Baldwin and Mobile counties, but for much of the local field, one important test has yet to arrive: the 5,000 meters.

That changes Saturday.

Fairhope High School will host the 2026 Fairhope Pirate Invite on Saturday, Sept. 12, at Oak Hollow Farms, bringing together runners from across the area for what will serve as the first full 5K of the season for many participating high-school programs.
