Good morning,

We’re excited for the Home Run Derby tonight at 5:00 PM at Volanta Park! Here are a few important details for all registered participants.

FIELD ASSIGNMENTS

11–13U: Field 1
9–10U: Field 2

PLEASE ARRIVE AT 5:00 PM
We are asking everyone who is registered to be at the fields no later than 6:00 PM.

We will work through the registered players throughout the evening. If we reach a point where no participants are there and ready to hit, we may call the event at that stopping point, so please make sure you are there at 5:00 PM.

HOME RUN DERBY FORMAT
Each player will receive 10 swings to hit as many home runs as possible.

We will crown a champion in each of the following divisions:

9/10U
11/12U
13U

Each division champion will receive a custom wooden bat from Trinity Bat Company, personalized with the winner’s name engraved on the bat!

PITCHERS
Players are welcome to bring their own pitcher. We will also have a couple of Fairhope High School pitchers on standby who will be ready to throw to participants who need someone.

BRING YOUR GLOVE!
We could also use some help sh****ng fly balls during the derby! We encourage players to bring their gloves and help us out in the outfield when they aren’t hitting.

The 13U rosters and schedule are set! Check out the attached image to find your team and game times.

First game starts at 9:00 AM

Games will be played on the 13U–16U field by the concession stand

A few reminders:

Travel ball rules
BBCOR bats only
60-pitch daily limit
$10 gate fee for adults
Kids are FREE
The top 2 seeds will advance to the Championship Game

Tiebreakers:

Head-to-Head
Runs Allowed Overall
Run Differential
Rock/Paper/Scissors

Please arrive early and be ready to play at your scheduled game time.

**due to an umpire shortage, we will play the 11/12U division later in the date - please note times below**

13U will come later tonight - still waiting on a few things for that

some things to note for these divisions
- Travel ball rules
- USSSA bats and Black Emerald are OK to use
- 60-pitch daily limit
- $10 gate fee - kids are free

The championship games for each group will be played by the 2 highest seeds based record. Tie break below:

HOME RUN DERBY SCHEDULE UPDATE

Due to the Fairhope High School home football game on Friday, August 28, we are moving our Mashup Home Run Derby to Sunday, August 30 at 5:00 PM.

NEW HOME RUN DERBY DATE & TIME:
Sunday, August 30
5:00 PM

The Mashup Tournament on Saturday, August 29 will still take place as scheduled. Tournament rosters and game times will be released Thursday morning.

We hope this change allows everyone to support the Pirates on Friday night and still join us for a great weekend of baseball!

So excited to to announce another Mashup in Fairhope - this time benefiting the wonderful Thornbury family! This go-round we are adding a home run derby for players under the age of 13 on Friday, August 28th and the Mashup Tournament on Saturday, August 29th!

This will be a great prep for those entering the rec baseball season or before the travel tourneys begin!

You can register at the link below. We will have a 9/10U division, 11/12U division and are going to add a 13 years and under division.

Please note that players must be 13 years old or younger at the time of registering to be in that division.

Fairhope Youth Baseball is excited to announce our Summer Baseball Camps at Volanta Park for players ages 6–13! Whether your player is looking to sharpen fundamentals or take their game to the next level, these camps will provide high-level instruction in a fun and competitive environment.
