Started at 7yds (21ft), then pushed to 10yds (30ft). Worked on sight picture, grip, and cleaning up trigger control. The rectangle is 3x5".

The lack of control arc of movement and anticipation of recoil become a lot more visible at 30ft.🥴 Learning is a process, not a destination, and I'm here to learn. ***k

Libraries, schools, grocery stores, movie theaters, etc etc. These mass killers commonly target locations where their victims are likely to be unarmed. This is the world that we live in.

Most real life violence occurs at very close range, 45ft to arms length. Yes, it's good to be able make good hits at distances farther away, but the reality is that when violence happens it's likely going to happen right in front of your face.

Knowing this it's good to seek training and practice for very close range defense, movement, empty hand defense (boxing, wrestling, martial arts, etc), and weapon retention skills. It's all important. Fight like you train, train like you fight.

Maintaining a greater distance between the officer and offender proves critical in preventing assaults or felonious deaths of law enforcement personnel.

Owning a gun and training/practicing with a gun to gain proficiency are 2 very different things.

Fi****ms training is learning proper technique, safety, function, etc. Practice is the application of what you learned in training.

The circle is 3" diameter. Distance is 15ft. 4 months no live fire due to lumbar herniated disc and sciatica. In those rough days dry practice at home was the only option, which is better than no practice at all.
