Mishap in Marble Falls 💥

The closing moments of the Formula Light final at the 2026 Battle on the Colorado turned dramatic when pilots Jake McKee ( #01) and Brandon Bobalik ( #60) got too close for comfort with each other at the turn buoy, with less than half a lap remaining.

Neither driver was willing to lift—charging into the turn, and the resulting clash sent Bobalik flying into a barrel roll and McKee into a spinout. It was a spectacular and jarring end to what had been a truly hard-fought battle on the Colorado River.

Fortunately, the IHRA Rescue Team was on the scene immediately following the incident, reaching both pilots within moments. No serious injuries were reported.
