Gorom Tawa Evening Club Gorom Tawa EC is a Paterson, NJ based sports club established in 2016. Gorom Tawa EC currently participates in BBCL Spring T20 Saturday league.

Although the club started its journey as a football team, but eventually shifted focus towards cricket.

🏏 Big News for Our Cricket Club! 🏏

Cricket has just become more affordable and inclusive! 🎉

The ICC has approved Class D / Type D cricket bats for senior recreational cricket, effective 1 October 2026. These laminated bats can be made from up to three pieces of wood, not just premium English willow, making them significantly cheaper and more sustainable.

Why this matters for our club:
✅ Makes cricket affordable for more players — no more $1,000 price tags for a bat.
✅ Uses more of each harvested willow tree — up to 25% more — for a greener game 🌿
✅ Lamination allows lower-cost wood behind a quality willow face, without a performance advantage.
✅ Great news for junior-to-senior transition, expanding access at all levels.

This rule change reflects the spirit of our game: accessible, sustainable, and always evolving. Let's welcome more players, more bats, and more cricket! 🙌

A crushing victory at the end!

After last match's close encounter, Gorom Tawa Evening Club came back strongly today. We finished the game in the 14th over with 6 wickets in hand. Mustafiz Rah played a clinical innings of 30 runs and took the team to the other side of the river. Jakir and Amzad gave him company along the way. In the bowling he also took 3 wickets. Mazher Misbah and Mizan Rahman took 2 wickets each.

With this victory we moved up another position to #5 in the points table.
