The Dan Gaskin / 1:9 Tactical team just wrapped up day 3 of a 5 day Active Threat Awareness training in State Collge, PA for the CATABUS drivers!

It has been an awesome 3 days so far! We have had the opportunity to train 87 bus drivers and will have another 60 over the next 2 days in topics to include situational awareness; threat identification and active shooter.

Shoutout to our role player for our scenarios. Poor Chris has role played for at least 100 scenarios. Thanks Chris A Brent!!

Looking forward to a few more great training days with these awesome folks!

Training with a purpose. How often do we shoot without a purpose? Without a goal? I am guilty of it at times.

Set a goal. A skill to improve. A plateau to push over every time you train, and don’t quit until you achieve it!

I am working on improving my transition speed and have been stagnant. Following some advice from the great Joe Farewell I worked on the Billy Blake drill. Ultimately a Bill drill combined with the Blake drill. My goal I set was 2.65 with all alphas.

How hard are you willing to push? It’s took me around 35 tries. 34 failed attempts before achieving it. And I’ll be honest, I did 6 more after achieving it and did not get it again. But I can only keep putting in the work! 🤙

Nothing better than seeing a bunch of ladies taking the next step in their own personal protection!

We had a great group of almost 30 women (not all pictured) join us last night for our Women’s Personal Defense Seminar in Chambersburg. We had a great time, plenty of laughs, real stories and great information.
