Fun fact: every Music Together songbook has it's own little scavenger hunt!

If you've got the Bongos book, take some time this week to find the dish and the spoon that have run away from Hey, Di**le, Di**le! And once you find those friends, take a look for these other friends throughout your book. Use it as inspiration to pull out your songbook and sing some of your kiddos favorite songs!

Music Together classes are designed for kids, but that doesn't mean grownups get to sit back and check out! Your child will have a MUCH better experience if you join in the fun with them! Even if that means being silly and making mistakes. The more fun you have, the more fun your child will have, and the more learning, growing, and bonding will happen!

Who is our new (to us) teacher, Miss Lily?

Let's learn about her!
Lily is a Miami University senior from Long Island, NY. She has been teaching Music Together since 2021, and is so excited to continue teaching in Ohio! In addition to singing, Lily plays the flute and enjoys performing on stage with Miami's Department of Theatre. Lily believes that music is our most accessible gateway to creativity, and she values that opportunity to build musical spaces for young children above all.

Miss Meghan is so happy to have Miss Lily with us at Sound Support Music Together! If you see her around in classes, be sure to give her a big Music Together "Hello to Miss Lily!"

Did you know it's NEVER too early to introduce your child to music?

In the first three years of a child's life, their brains are growing at an incredible rate! In every new experience, brain cells link to others and your baby's brain forms hundreds of new connections every second.

What makes music so magical and amazing is the ways that it activates SO MANY parts of our brains all at once, which means that music at this young age of rapid brain development = growth across many areas of the brain! Music helps with processing sensory information, shaping language development, fostering emotional connection and self-regulation.
