Half Acre Woods A science enrichment program for preschoolers to prepare them for Next Generation Science Standards. Taylor Park.

Half Acre Woods is founded on the overlap between the principles and concepts of:
-Social Emotional Development
-Environmental Education
-Next Generation Science Standards
-Unstructured Play

Parents drop their kids off for 3 hour sessions in either Natalie Coffin Park, which is located near the base of the Phoenix Lake Trail, or in Samuel P. Sessions are divided into two age groups the Sparrows 3

-4 years old, and the Meadowlarks 5-6 years old. Sparrows, 3-4 year olds, meet in the mornings from 8:30-11:30 AM. Meadowlarks, 5-6 year olds, meet in the afternoon from 12:30-3:30 PM. We keep a tight ratio of 1 adult to every 4 kids to ensure that each child has the optimal amount of the educator's time and attention.
