Shirtless wade fishing in late summer is as reminiscent of my childhood as it gets. A few hours spent with WV William Saturday afternoon. Flies tucked into my hat liner and lanyard around my neck. Bare essentials for wading. One smallie on a black bu**er. Then the view from ‘the cabin’ where we walked in. Traffic jam outside as a bunch of horseback riders headed uphill. A to round things out. I’m going to miss this kind of weekend in a few weeks. Still fishing my Hardy and averon reel 5wt.

Doesn’t look. Like much more than a ball floating. But no. Clients working on aim and distance for so I tossed a few river finds in the lake from the boat and let the wind blow them around and clients cast to them. Good fun. The sound of a bu**er bouncing off a basketball is expected.
