What a summer! ☀️🚣‍♂️ We had 28 new faces come out and give rowing a try, and we’re so excited to see how many of them keep rowing and become part of the Princess Anne Crew family!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped out over the summer—coaches, volunteers, parents, and everyone who jumped in to make these sessions happen. We appreciate you! 🙌

And of course… BIGGEST shoutout to Coach Jon! 👏👏 Thank you for all your time, patience, energy, and for getting these new rowers excited about the sport!

Now it’s almost time for the real fun to begin… SEASON STARTS SOON! 🔥🌊

To anyone who’s new to rowing: don’t worry if you’ve never touched an oar before. We all started somewhere! Come give it a try, meet some awesome people, get outside, and see what you’re capable of. 💪

💙🚣‍♂️ Senior Spotlight: Slater Templeton 🚣‍♂️💙
Who knew one year was all Slater needed to leave his mark on PA Crew?
Slater came in as a senior and rowed like he’d been with us for years. Known for his calm attitude, steady presence, and ability to keep his cool when things got chaotic, he was the perfect guy to have in the boat. Unless, of course, he showed up with Jersey Mike’s before practice... then everyone was distracted and suddenly very hungry. 🌯😂
From creating top-tier Instagram reels to earning a spot in the Varsity Men’s boat, Slater made the most of every moment. He quietly worked hard, rowed stroke seat, and proved that dedication can take you far—even in just one season.
PA Crew won’t be the same without our resident reel-maker and sandwich influencer, but we’re excited to see what’s next as he heads to TCC this fall!
Congratulations, Slater! Thanks for the laughs and giving us serious FOMO every time you brought lunch. 💙❤️🚣

💙🎓 Senior Spotlight: Eleanor Foard 🚣‍♀️
Need someone to take charge? Ask Eleanor. Need someone to keep everyone in line? Eleanor’s already on it. 😎
For four years, she’s been the teammate everyone could count on—leading from the stroke seat, keeping boat loading running smoothly, and proving she’s an absolute beast in a single (hello, 5th place at Occoquan! 💪🚣‍♀️).
Eleanor has been the perfect mix of leader, teammate, and friend. She works hard, stays cool under pressure, and somehow still keeps everyone laughing along the way.
This fall, she’s trading the dock for Dickinson College, where she’ll study International Business. We know she’s going to crush it!
Congratulations, Eleanor! Thanks for four amazing years—you’ve left your mark on PA Crew, and we’ll definitely miss you. ❤️💙

❤️💙Senior Spotlight: Erin Barhydt! ✨🚣‍♀️
If you hear someone cheering (or yelling 😉) from across the river... there’s a good chance it’s Erin!
In just two years with PA Crew, Erin grew into a confident coxswain who could keep her boat on course, hype up her rowers, and make lifelong friendships along the way. One of her favorite memories? Finishing her high school rowing career with a win against Triad! 🏆💙
Next stop: Old Dominion University, where she’ll be studying Marine Biology and continuing to command the boat as a coxswain for the ODU Women’s Team. 🌊⚓
Erin, thank you for bringing your energy, leadership, and endless enthusiasm to PA Crew. We’re going to miss hearing your voice on the water—but we know ODU is getting one amazing coxswain!

❤️🌟 SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Natalie Fisher 🌟❤️
Four years. Countless laughs. One unforgettable teammate. 💙🚣‍♀️
Natalie has been part of PA Crew since her freshman year, and if you know her, you know she was the team’s unofficial “mom.” Always the first to help, the one making sure everyone was okay, and somehow always bringing the perfect mix of fun and focus.
Whether she was dancing at regattas, making everyone laugh with her iconic “pretty pretty princess” moments in the boat, or creating memories at pasta parties on the beach, Natalie made every season brighter. ✨
Her kindness, outgoing personality, and positive energy made an impact on everyone lucky enough to row alongside her.
This fall, Natalie is headed to the University of Miami to study Biochemistry. We can’t wait to see all the amazing things she’ll accomplish!
Thank you for four incredible years, Natalie. We’ll miss your smile, your spirit, and the way you made our team feel like family. 💙❤️

💙❤️ Senior Spotlight: Ava DeRooy ❤️💙
From a freshman who had to be encouraged to find her voice to one of PA Crew’s co-captains and the loudest cheerleader on the race course, Ava’s journey has been nothing short of incredible.
A four-year member of PA Crew, Ava brought unmatched energy, leadership, and heart to every practice, race, and team event. Whether she was motivating her teammates, making everyone laugh, or putting others before herself (even giving up her own shoes so a teammate wouldn’t go without), Ava always showed what it means to be a true team player.
She may have been known for honking at geese rather than facing them, but there was never a challenge she wouldn’t tackle for her team. Her dedication, sacrifice, and infectious laughter have left a lasting impact on PA Crew, and her presence will be greatly missed.
This fall, Ava will continue her coxing career at Stetson University, and we can’t wait to see all she accomplishes.

Senior Spotlight: Aditi 💙🚣‍♀️
Four years. Countless hours spent on the water. Endless memories.
From her freshman year to senior year, Aditi has been a constant force on and off the water for PA Crew. Whether she was switching between port and starboard, cheering on teammates, or sharing laughs with her partner-in-crime Sunny, she always brought dedication, positivity, and a team-first attitude.
Favorite regatta? High Point.
Favorite traditions? Coach Jon’s fist bumps and Coach Carol’s iconic “Storm the Castle!” before races.
As she heads to UVA this fall to study Economics and Business, we know she’ll continue to make waves wherever she goes.
