Get ready to play hard, have fun, and finish the season strong under the Midnight Sun at the Interior Championship! Games start Friday night at 615 and continue through Sunday to the championship games. Schedules are available on Sports Tourney App.

🌟Exciting News for Alaska North Stars 16u/18u Softball 🌟

We are excited to have Seth Harper Returning to coach with the North Stars for the 2026-2027 season!

About Coach Seth :

Hi, I’m Seth Harper, Head Coach of the Alaska North Stars 16U Fastpitch Softball team.

Coaching is more than teaching the game—it’s about helping young athletes grow into confident, resilient, and accountable young women. My goal is to create an environment where every player feels challenged, supported, and inspired to become the best version of herself, both on and off the field.

I believe success starts with the fundamentals, but great teams are built on trust, effort, discipline, and a willingness to put the team before yourself. I expect my players to work hard, compete with passion, and treat teammates, opponents, officials, and the game with respect. Mistakes are part of the process, and I want every athlete to know that growth comes from learning, not from being perfect.

As a father of two daughters, I understand the impact coaches have on young athletes. I take that responsibility seriously and strive to be a positive role model who encourages confidence, resilience, and character. My hope is that every player who wears a North Stars jersey leaves the program not only as a better softball player but also as a stronger person.

When I’m not at the ball field, you’ll usually find me enjoying everything Alaska has to offer—hunting, fishing, backpacking, camping, or spending time with family. I also enjoy staying active and believe the lessons learned through sports—hard work, perseverance, and teamwork—carry over into every aspect of life.

Thank you for trusting me to be part of your athlete’s journey. I’m excited to help build a program where players can compete at a high level, create lasting friendships, and develop a lifelong love for the game.

We are excited to welcome our new 14U Head Coach Brandon Aguilar to the Alaska North Stars family!

About Coach Aguilar 🥎

Brandon Aguilar grew up playing baseball in Arizona and has coached with IGSA for the past 3 years now. Brandon’s goal as a coach is to help players keep their love of the game and guide them to maximize their true potential as a player and a person. Coach Aguilar whole heartedly believes that coaching is more than wins and stats. His philosophy on coaching is reaching the person underneath the uniform, if the player loves stepping onto the diamond the wins will come and be far more enjoyable.

🌟 Exciting News for North Stars 12U Travel Softball! 🌟

We are excited to announce the new coaching staff for our 2026-2027 North Stars 12U Travel Softball Team! Please join us in welcoming Sarah & Lacy as they step into this leadership role.

About our coaches!

Sarah grew up playing softball for IGSA and was an inaugural player for the Northstars. She went on to later coach both the Northstars and high school softball, along with high school volleyball.

Lacy grew up in Northern California where she played competitive softball and basketball year round. She coached high school basketball before moving to Fairbanks where she continues to coach youth sports.

Together, Sarah and Lacy have been coaching girls’ basketball and softball, and enjoy sharing their love of athletics with young players. They are excited to develop the next generation of competitive female athletes - honing athletic skills while instilling confidence and leadership that will serve players far beyond the game.

We are excited to have both of you for the 2026-2027 season 🌌🥎🫶🏼
