Golden Heart Softball Association Golden Heart Softball Association is a non-profit adult softball league based in Fairbanks, Alaska.

GHSA started play in Fairbanks, Alaska in 1986 and is named after the city slogan for Fairbanks, "The Golden Heart City." The league has grown steadily over the 28 year existence and today is home to more than 70 Mens, Womens and Coed teams. Play for the league typically starts in early May, weather dependent and played through late August. Teams compete at several skills levels, capped off with a

state tournament generally taking place in mid to late August. Price for player registration is $140 for 24 game season for first team, and $100 for all teams after that. A huge thank you to AkSportswear for the tournament jerseys, Friar Tuck's Hoagie House for feeding the umpires an amazing lunch and sending gift cards, Salty's On 2nd for the gift cards, Christy Dominique, Rob Monteith and Dylan Klerlein for making the first Ashlee Spann Memorial Tournament a successful event! We couldn’t have had better weather for friends & family to gather in Ashlee’s happy place to honor her!

Reminder:

This tourney is UNLIMITED PICK-UPS which means: You can mix players from multiple teams - just make sure players are registered to play coed. You play up to the highest classified player on your team.

The pool play schedule for this weekend’s Ashlee Spann Memorial tournament is attached! 🥎🩷🪽

Tournament rules and the bracket will be posted on the website later tonight.

ALL bats must be tested before they can be used in tournament play. Bat testing will be available tonight, Thursday night, and Friday night. As well as, Saturday morning from 9:00-9:30am!

As we come together to compete, we will also be honoring and remembering Ashlee, whose impact on our softball community will never be forgotten. We look forward to celebrating her life, sharing memories, and recognizing the lasting mark she left on so many players, teammates, friends, and family members.
