✨I am so deeply proud to introduce Fairbanks Barbell Club’s Inside Out Six Week Challenge. This one is very near and dear to me.
When the talk of New Years rolled around I knew we should do something as a gym but the idea of doing a generic six week ‘weight loss’ challenge or a macro tracking challenge did not resonate at allll. Everything sounded boring, like it had been done time and time again and like there was no soul or zest to it.
After sitting with those thoughts I realized its because those types of challenges are not at all aligned with the methodology we believe in as a gym.
We are a gym that believes in truly taking care of yourself as a body, soul, and mind. We are a gym that recognizes there’s more to a fitness journey than macro tracking, cardio, and lifting weights. Time and time again we see people struggle to lose weight, or to finally gain muscle, or to commit to healthy habits. Here’s a little secret for you on that: its probably not because you’re not trying hard enough.
By taking a more root cause focused approach we can make a more informed realistic plan to actually get you the results you desire and more importantly, keep them.
Let’s stop avoiding ourselves, let’s go deeper.
Yes I want everyone to lose fat, gain muscle, PR all their lifts, and look amazing. But I also want everyone to have a healthy relationship with food, truly believe in themselves, and have a zest and joy for life and love what their bodies can do and are capable of.
My goal as a coach for you guys is to build a relationship with you. To be able to encourage you to compassionately look deeper, to talk about it, and then to help you make a sustainable plan forward when it comes to nutrition, strength and conditioning, and lifestyle habits.
Growth is hard, fitness is hard. Lets not do it alone. 💙🏋️♀️
