So it’s a day late, but this post is all about this group of amazing karate students testing for their next belts!
The 13 of them completed a combined:
-36 miles of jogging
-3500 push-ups
-1300 squats
-282 kata
-and several thousand individual techniques
-and sparring
I could not be more proud!!!
And thank you to all the parents in the karate school (and all of the parents outside of the karate school) who stick with it, even when your kids say “I don’t want to go to class today”, “I’m too tired”, or “I’m bored!”
We will all have days that we as adults don’t want to go to work, don’t want to go to the gym, days that we’re too tired to do adult stuff, and times that we feel stuck at a certain position at work. We push through day after day because we have built up self discipline over countless days that we felt too tired, too stuck, or too or whatever else.
When you help your kids get to class on those tough days, just remember, IT PAYS OFF!! Maybe not today, but someday they WILL have the discipline that it takes to make it in this world!
Thank you parents!
