Research Before You Rent.

Before renting a watercraft on Lake Minnetonka, look for the decals.

Motorized rental watercraft that have completed Lake Minnetonka's licensing and inspection requirements display both an LMCD Certified Rental Watercraft Decal and a Sheriff's Boat Safety Inspection Decal.

Unlike rental kayaks and paddleboards, these motorized rental watercraft are required to obtain and display both decals.

Don't rely solely on claims made in online listings or booking websites. The decals displayed on the watercraft itself are the easiest way to verify that it has completed the required local licensing and inspection process.

Licensed operators are required to meet local licensing requirements, including annual safety inspections and proof of insurance.

Today was a GREAT DAY at Bay To Bay. We were so honored to have the opportunity to provide three boats to the faculty/staff of Annunciation grade school, the grade school I attended. These men and women are such strong people and heroes in my estimation. We had the perfect weather day and they needed to have some fun given what they have been through. We are grateful to be able to provide a well deserved fun day for them. It made my heart so happy! Thanks to Sophie, Julie and Kyler for driving for them. Tom

We’re hard at work getting both locations ready and boats in the water—just in time for the season! We’re excited to welcome back our members and rental customers starting May 16.
This year, we’re adding five brand-new 25ft Crest pontoons to the fleet, and we think you’re going to love them.
We’re also still accepting new members for the 2026 boating season—don’t miss out on the fun!

Renovations on our new location are coming to a close! We have been working very hard to renovate and get our new location set up on Spring Park bay at Sunset Boat Yards. If you would like to stop by and say hi feel free to do so. However please make sure you call our office to make sure we will be around. We can't wait to welcome our members and boat rental customers back at two great locations this May!

Dear friends and fans of Bay To Bay Boat Club. I am pleased to announce that we are starting a second location this spring at the former Rockvam Boat Yard, which is now Sunset Boat Yards.! Memberships will be reciprocating to both locations and we will also offer daily rental pontoon boats at both locations. Memberships are still available. As I start my 26th year on Lake Minnetonka, I am very excited about this new venture and the staff and I look forward to seeing you on the water this summer!

She said Yes!!! Former employees Anna & Nick who, met while working at Bay To Bay, got engaged yesterday on a BTB boat! It was well planned by Nick and a total surprise. I was very proud to be a part of it and very happy for them.
