“I just wanted to say that its honor to celebrate the 1989 team, but we need to remember the 1987 and 1988 teams with the players that got us prepared for that magical carpet ride season of 1989. This Saturday night, we celebrate the tradition, the players, the coaches, and the moments that made Excel special. And yes — one of the legendary coaches from those great years will be back in Excel as our featured speaker.
