The individual in the picture is running for State Representative District 40 using the Ewa Beach Surf Club as one of his campaign talking points. This individual is NOT a member of the Ewa Beach Surf Club, is not affiliated with the Ewa Beach Surf Club, and the club takes great exception to this individual stating or otherwise implying any relationship with the club, its officers, or its members.
Cory is a former club member. The Ewa Beach Surf Club’s expressed mission is the caretaking of our beach parks and the perpetuation of our surf culture. The Ewa Beach Surf Club’s primary, heartfelt goal, is the creation and sustainment of a safe space to allow our groms to flourish. The Club is deeply committed to the support of our club keiki, and all keiki, and their safety, well-being, and happiness is our main concern. Several years ago, we rescinded this individual’s club membership for failure to adhere to our Club values and mission — and we stand by that decision.
The Ewa Beach Surf Club shall remain a politically neutral organization as we welcome the support from candidates from any Party - so long as their personal values align with ours. However, we do NOT endorse this candidate.
