Seeing this every year gives me no end of joy. Barton using a live blade to cut a milk jug at our old home in Maryland during a July BuFest event. This was exactly 10 years ago this month. Well done Barton !!

Nagato Sensei Part two.

Hope you are able to stay healthy this season and continue to train before your dojo's close for the end of the year holiday season.

We have another take on the video from last week when the attacker punches at Nagato Sensei. Nagato Sensei takesa few steps to the outside and controls uke's shoulder and wrist with each of his own hands. Sensei moves in and pressures the shoulder putting uke over his front window. He moves his own foot in to manipulate the attacker's front foot. Nagato Sensei then pulls uke's wrist backwards over his back window and sweeps the foot simultaneously.

Here's another look with some extra footage of Noguchi Sensei defending himself by attacking the face and the spine of his attacker. What did you learn from last week? How did you finish the fight?
Check out this video to see how Noguchi Sensei finishes the technique. Remember not to fight the finish if you are Noguchi Sensei's Uke. It hurts more and you might get laughed at.

1-we are learning something new and need more assistance
2-we aren't catching what he/she is trying to teach us
3-the pointers are really important and need extra emphasis
