Well Andy survived and learned a lot for his first speedweek. Forth in the heat and 12th in the main. Did very good for an intimidating big track. So speed week was a success for him he did what he set out to do. On to dirt cup!

Andy’s first time at Douglas county speedway was good. Timed in eleventh, railed the high side in the heat was up to 3rd, and the fuel pump let go so he finished last in his heat. Started 11 th and made it up to 9th. Was a good finish since we didn’t have time to set him up at all for the main. All our time was consumed by cleaning nozzles, and changing the fuel pump. Cottage grove is next up, another new track for him. Getting closer to dirt cup!

Andy did super tonight. Qualifying he was 8 started on the pole and led 3 or 4 laps ended up 5 th. In the main he fell back alittle then found the high side and railed it to a 10 th place finish. The car is in one piece and Andy has a new favorite track.

Got the front and rear end back in the car car is ready for speed week. Still lots of stuff to get ready before we leave. It will just be my car for speed week and dirt cup thank you Tyler Ketchum and Casey couldn’t have done it without your help

Last nights recap. Timed 14th, so we did a few big changes, before the heat. Started 7 th in the heat, was going for third and ended up fourth. Started 8th in the main was up to 6th at one point and was running 7th when we had a late caution. I was on the inside but the outside was the best place for the restart. Had to check up for the guy in front of me and 3 guys freight trained me on the start, and ended up 10th. But a way better finish than cartwheels taking the checkered like last week.

Andy is still learning the setup’s and it’s tough when we make big changes for him to relearn every time we change things on his car. He will keep logging the car reactions in his mind and adapting his driving style to what the car can do.

Just got my dad’s motor out not giving up on his car until it’s time to go to the track

So far a bent rear axle already got a used one going in that’s in the picture. A very bent right nerf and bent rr wheel half bent w link hopefully that’s it my list is way shorter than my dad’s definitely not the weekly maintenance I was hoping for on both cars.
