So got my brace made. First time I could see how they got into the finger. I now have a zoro scar lol. Counted 12 plus stitches. Time for PT and get my dexterity and grip back!

Andy is chillin before his heat. Really dry track so it’s gonna be a finesse track. I finally get my surgery tomorrow for my finger. Been pretty rough not running speedweek and dirt cup. But now it can heal and hopefully get back in the car!

Well Andy survived and learned a lot for his first speedweek. Forth in the heat and 12th in the main. Did very good for an intimidating big track. So speed week was a success for him he did what he set out to do. On to dirt cup!

Andy’s first night at cottage grove, was pretty good. Andy has never driven a D shaped oval. Hot laps his line was off a little. We did some line adjustments and he rocked it for the heat. He started 5th and wheeled it up to 3rd! In the main he started 11th fell back aways, and made it back to 13th. When he came in we noticed gear oil coming out of the center of the axle and had shavings in the center of the axle. Definitely not a good sign. Luckily he drove a smooth line and didn’t bounce off the cushion or the axle may have split. So a quick rear end change to my spare after the race and we are off to Elma!

Andy’s first time at Douglas county speedway was good. Timed in eleventh, railed the high side in the heat was up to 3rd, and the fuel pump let go so he finished last in his heat. Started 11 th and made it up to 9th. Was a good finish since we didn’t have time to set him up at all for the main. All our time was consumed by cleaning nozzles, and changing the fuel pump. Cottage grove is next up, another new track for him. Getting closer to dirt cup!

Andy did super tonight. Qualifying he was 8 started on the pole and led 3 or 4 laps ended up 5 th. In the main he fell back alittle then found the high side and railed it to a 10 th place finish. The car is in one piece and Andy has a new favorite track.
