We saved this southern Indiana lacrosse powerhouse for the final HSLC program spotlight - and apparently for good reason.
With their recent state play-off victory against the St. Joe Huskies, the Evansville Memorial Tigers locked in their spot for the 1A State Championship matchup.
This will be the 3rd year consecutively in which Memorial has made it to the state 1A championship game, having won the title in 2024 against Brebeuf Jesuit and losing out in 2025 to Guerin Catholic after a hard fought battle. Memorial is in their 7th consecutive year making it to at least the semi-state round, proving they are a strong contender in Indiana lacrosse.
This year the Tigers rostered 39 players including 4 seniors, 3 of which will be continuing their athletic careers; Luke O’Donohue and Maddux Williams both committed to continue lacrosse at Wabash College and Connor O’Donohue committed for football at Hanover College.
Memorial Lacrosse played 13 games during the regular season as well as 2 state play-off games since. The Tigers are coached by Cliff Rogers. Cliff has been with the program as Head Coach since 2015, but involved since 2012.
Memorial’s regular season record is 9-4, however they are undefeated in the Hoosier Southern Lacrosse Conference and played some very competitive matchups outside of the area this season.
The Tigers play their final game of 2026 on May 30 at 5pm EDT at the Brownsburg High School stadium against the Guerin Catholic Golden Eagles, once again hoping to bring home the State 1A title.
