Demolition City Roller Derby began as the tri-state's first flat-track roller derby league in January of 2007. This means we do all league planning, coordinating, and promotion ourselves. DCRD is dedicated to providing Evansville and the surrounding area with a fast-paced, exciting sport. We pride ourselves on giving back to the community. Over the past 15 years DCRD has helped raise thousands of
dollars for donation to several local charities and non-profit agencies, as well as volunteered for several area organizations. DCRD is also a non-profit organization. DCRD is comprised of two interleague travel teams who compete with other leagues from around the Midwest and beyond: our All-Star Dynamite Dolls, and our B team the Destruction Dames. On June 18, 2010, in just its third year of existence, Evansville's Demolition City Roller Derby (DCRD) league was awarded the full membership into the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). WFTDA is an international organization governing the sport of women's flat track derby and provides member leagues with standardized rules, hosts regional and national tournaments, and sets safety standards for the sport. For more information on WFTDA and the sport of flat track roller derby visit the Women's Flat Track Derby Association website (www.wftda.com).
