The Evanston Police Department Community Policing Unit and local partner is hosting its free anti-theft marking event on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Jiffy L**e on Dempster from 7:00am to 9:00am.

You must be an Evanston resident to participate.

Simply scan the QR Code or use the link bit.ly/catalyticmarkingregistration to register. This visual deterrent helps police identify stolen parts and stops thieves in their tracks.

🚨 Beach Closure Notice

Tomorrow, Wednesday, June 3, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Lakefront staff will conduct Emergency Action Plan (EAP) drills at Greenwood Street Beach.

As part of this staff training, all Evanston beaches will be closed until 2 p.m.

During the exercise, you may see emergency vehicles, lifeguards, and water rescue boats near Greenwood Street Beach and Dempster Street Beach. This is a planned training event designed to help staff prepare for emergency situations and ensure a safe lakefront experience for all. 🌊
