JR. Wildkit Family,

Welcome to all families new and returning.

We did not do any Spring clinics this year and will look to start in Mid-July for football.

Our 2026 Tackle Football registration and Cheer registrations are open. You can find them at the link below.

We are working on getting our practices dates, times and locations verified by the City.
We will continue with Tues, Wed, Thurs from 530-730 PM for football and Sat 8-10 AM.

If you still have equipment to return we will have office hours on Wed 10 Jun from 530-7 PM and
Mon 15 Jun from 530-7 PM. We need all equipment and uniforms returned so we can get them ready for distribution in mid July..
If you can't make those dates please email us ASAP.

We will be using our popcorn fundraiser again this year. The dates are TBD, but we are looking to early Aug.
This is a great way to help pay for JR. Wildkits.

We are aware that some may have an issue registering. Our current platform (Sports Connect) is Sunsetting (closing) soon.

2026 EJWK CHEER INFO Summer & Fall Seasons

Hello everyone,

Evanston Jr. Wildkits Cheerleading is back again this year. We are so excited for another season. We are welcoming girls and boys 5-14 year old to focus on building confidence, teamwork and athletic skills in a fun, positive and energetic environment. Participants learn fundamentals cheer techniques including jumps, chants, teamwork, self-esteem while developing strength, coordination, and flexibility. Teams are based on age and skill level, allowing each cheerleader to progress at their own pace. Practices emphasize discipline, spirit, and sportsmanship, preparing athletes for performances at sports events, competitions and community showcases.

Beyond physical skills, youth cheerleaders promote friendships, leadership, and a positive team mentality, making it an exciting and rewarding experience for young athletes. We want every cheerleader to have the opportunity to be the best and to understand hard work. We want them to take any and everything they learn in this program and use it in their everyday life. We would like to build all cheerleaders up to understand how trusting and working with others can be beneficial to them in the long run. We want cheerleaders to have fun and give words of encouragement.


The first practice day is June 11th (weather permitting), 2026 at 5:30pm. Practice is located at James Park by the big hill, next to the park. Practices are every Tuesday and Thursday unless cancelled or changed by directors. This summer program fee is $65.00. This includes a $25.00 registration fee, $40.00 for t-shirt, shorts and bow. This fee is due by June 26th, 2026. This gives enough time for us to order everything for performance in the 4th of July Parade. Details about the parade will be given out soon.

The official cheer season which starts In August will cost $200.00. The deadline for payment is July 28th, 2026. There will be a payment plan option but there are no scholarships at this time. The breakdown and cost will be given during parent meet and greet. Parents and participants will need to sign a cheer contract to ensure both parties are in agreement with the expectations for participating on the team.

JR. Wildkit Family,

Day one was a great success. Lots of new faces and we got some good work done.
We have most players with equipment. We will work on getting more done tonight.
If you are out of town we will get you taken care of when you return.

We have been monitoring the heat and we will practice tonight. Practice after warmup will be less intense and more
about basic skills ( Stance, Tackling Positions without contact, throwing, catching, etc).
Please make sure your players are eating during the day and drinking lots of water.
It is not uncommon for players to sweat out a few pounds at each practice. Even more when we put full pads on
in the coming weeks.

Have your players in Shorts or Sweatpants, Cleats or gym shoes and bring a bottle of water with your name on it.
We will not wear helmets until Saturday for those players who have 3 practices.

Tell your friends that it is not to late to register, but we are filling up fast.

SWAY Concussion testing needs to be done ASAP This is a free app that gives a baseline
for all players 9 years old and up. They will need a smartphone ( if you don't have one we can help). We will have help onsite.
This can also be done at home. It is a short series of test that take about 20-30 minutes.
