Olympic champion and world-renowned wrestler David Taylor started his wrestling journey as a hyperactive 5-year-old in Evanston, Wyoming. His mother enrolled him in the Red Devil Wrestling Club to burn off his intense childhood energy. Though he lost almost all of his matches and claimed he was "horrible" during his first year, his competitive fire drove him to keep going. By age eight, he was traveling across the country for national tournaments, and by age ten, his advanced technical abilities made him a prodigy with an explicit dream of winning an Olympic gold medal.
