Dolphin Academy Swim School is a classroom in the water. At Dolphin Academy, we specialize in individual stroke instruction with an emphasis on technique. Using clear and concise technique instructions based on a professionally developed and proven stroke curriculum, Dolphin Academy swimmers can reach any level of swimming they desire. Our teachers are trained in and

out of the water and must shadow experienced instructors before teaching their own classes. Our teachers utilize props, specialized equipment and imagination to capture and hold the children’s attention to stroke details. Dolphin Academy goes beyond teaching children the basics of water safety. Our students learn to be confident swimmers for life. Traditional swim lessons are designed to teach water safety during one or two weeks. Swim school instruction takes place once a week over an extended period of time to ensure mastery and confidence in the water.

As schedules fill up, it's tempting to put swim lessons on pause—but water safety isn't just a summer skill.

Children are around water all year long:

That's all it can take.

Statistics show that 88% of child drownings occur while an adult is nearby. Being present isn't the same as actively watching.

When your child is in or around the water:
👀 Keep your eyes on them at all times.
📱 Put the phone away.
🙋 Designate a dedicated Water Watcher if others are around.

STOP. Permission. Water Watcher = Safe Swimmers!

One of the most important water safety habits we teach at Dolphin Academy is learning to wait for permission before entering the water. 🏊‍♂️

Children naturally enter water from the edge of a pool, bathtub, or shoreline — which is why practicing “STOP + Permission + Water Watcher” can make such a big difference in keeping swimmers safer around water. 💙

Even if your child is wearing a floatation device, they should never jump in without adult permission and supervision.

At Dolphin, we use “Ready, Set, Go!” as a fun cue to help children learn when it is safe to enter the water. 🌊✨
